Survey

Q: I've been sent an invitation to a survey, but I cannot access it

You can also access all of your available surveys by logging on via the main login page here and then clicking on the survey code to enter the survey.

Q: I'm having problems with a survey

You can access all of your available surveys by logging on via the main login page here and then clicking on the survey's code. If you experience a problem, it may be worth trying to access the survey again later, and you will be able to access the survey at the point you exited.

Q: None of the answer options apply to me

We're sorry that there was a not an answer option available to suit your situation. We try our best to make sure we cover everything, and we try to always give a 'None of these' or 'Don't know' option which you can select if you do not feel that any of the options apply. If you feel that we have missed something obvious please let us know.

Q: I have put in the wrong answer in a survey, how do I go back?

I'm afraid it is not possible to go back in a survey, as we do not allow people to change their answers after they have submitted them. Therefore, it is important you take your time when completing a survey, and ensure you are happy with all answers before you submit them. If you make a mistake please let us know and we will remove your answers at the analysis stage.

Q: Why don't you have a progress bar?

We don't have a progress bar because length of most of our surveys varies depending on the answers you give, which makes having a progress bar difficult. We do time each survey and then give an estimate of how long a survey will take to complete in the invitation email.

General

Q: Can somebody access my account details or vote on my behalf?

It is possible that somebody can access your 'MyAccount' if you have not logged out of your account correctly. It is very important that you log out of your 'MyAccount' by using the link on the right hand side menu. This is particularly important when accessing the Internet on shared computers such as in web cafes, universities etc.

Q: How much time will I have to commit to CoProducer?

The only requirement to retain your shareholding in the project is that you complete at least 6 of the 12 'core' monthly surveys. That is 6 surveys during the total 12 month period from idea to finish. You may participate in any of the other activities on CoProducer as often or as rarely as you wish.

Q: Will I be paid for contributing to CoProducer?

There is no direct payment for contributing to CoProducer, but by completing at least 6 of the 12 'core' monthly surveys you will retain your share of the movie's net profits. You can earn more 'Stage 2' shares by signing up others to CoProducer. Please see CoProducer' s Accounting and Ownership Policy for further details.

Q: Am I liable if the project makes a loss?

Absolutely not. All the liability has been taken on by the CoProducer investors. There is no possibility that you could lose any money by taking part in the project.

Q: Will it cost me anything to be part of CoProducer?

No, never. PLEASE ALSO NOTE THAT CoProducer WILL NEVER EMAIL YOU ASKING FOR MONEY, OR ASK FOR MONEY VIA THE WEBSITE.

Q: What if the movie the panel decides upon themes or ideas in conflict with my personal or religious views?

CoProducer cannot guarantee that you will not take offence at some of the contact of the website at any given time. You are free to leave CoProducer at any time if you feel your personal or religious views have been compromised. You use CoProducer at your own risk.

Q: How often will CoProducer contact me?

CoProducer will contact you every month when the monthly 'core' survey has gone online, and occasionally when other improvements or changes have been made to the site. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Q: What happens if I miss a 'core' monthly survey?

This does not matter unless you miss more than 6 over the course of the year, whereupon your shareholding will be cancelled.

Q: Will CoProducer pass on my details to any other website or organisation?

CoProducer will not sell or share private information, such as email addresses, with third parties, unless you agree to release this information, or it is required by law to release the information.

Q: What is CoProducer’s relationship with YouGov?

YouGov powers CoProducer's surveys, and allows us to keep track of the panel on a user-friendly, reliable interface. YouGov plc has no stake in the project itself, and treats CoProducer as any other corporate client.
